Lot of 2 - One of the earliest shrubs to bloom in spring, the flowers of the Pussy
Willow are called catkins. Long, slender, coffee-brown branches are
lined with these fat, fluffy silver-pink fuzzy clusters in early April.
When fully mature the catkins are studded with golden-yellow
pollen-bearing stamen. In summer the Pussy Willow has dark green leaves
and usually reach 10 feet. These make ideal screen hedge or background
plants. Are also attractive when planted as a single shrub or with
other border plants. Just for fun, branches can be forced into bloom
earlier if they are cut and brought indoors in late winter. Excellent
for drying.
